TORONTO NEW BUILD

Location: Toronto, ON

Scope: Kitchen Design, Conceptual Design Services, Kitchen Design Services

Challenge

This project involved developing a comprehensive design direction for a new residential build, intended to guide both the builder and future homeowners through key design decisions.

The challenge was to create a cohesive, well-resolved interior that could be clearly communicated upfront — while also prioritizing materials that support indoor air quality and long-term well-being.

Approach

The design focused on establishing a clear and consistent material direction that could be implemented throughout the home. Selections were guided not only by aesthetics, but by their environmental impact and contribution to a healthier indoor environment.

To support decision-making and reduce uncertainty, detailed renderings were developed to reflect the proposed finishes and key design elements, particularly within the kitchen. These visuals were designed to go beyond technical drawings — offering a more intuitive understanding of how the space would feel once realized.

Conceptual furnishings were layered into the renderings to provide context and scale, allowing prospective homeowners to better envision daily life within the space. This approach helps bridge the gap between plan and reality, making the design more accessible and easier to engage with.

Outcome

The result is a clear, cohesive design framework that supports both execution and visualization.

Builders are able to work from a well-defined set of selections, while future homeowners gain a more tangible understanding of the space before construction is complete. The integration of healthier material choices ensures that the design not only looks considered, but also contributes to a more supportive living environment.

What emerges is a home that feels intentional from the outset — reducing guesswork, streamlining decisions, and aligning the final result with both aesthetic and well-being goals.
