Our client sought a vision for their powder room remodel, desiring a sleek modern design with a touch of drama.
To bring this vision to life, we proposed several key design elements that would elevate the space and create a truly unique atmosphere. First and foremost, we designed a custom floating wood vanity with a black 4-inch thick countertop that exudes sophistication and elegance. Its clean lines and minimalist aesthetic perfectly complemented the overall modern theme of the room.
To add a touch of drama and visual interest, we recommended incorporating a custom round mirror, which would serve as a focal point in the space. This statement piece would draw the eye and create a sense of intrigue upon entering the room.
To define the space and add warmth, we recommended the use of white oak wood slats that add a natural and organic feel to the space.
For the flooring, we suggested terrazzo-looking tiles to introduce subtle hints of colour and texture. These tiles would add visual interest and create a sense of depth within the space.
Additionally, we proposed a concrete-looking tiles for the vanity area and behind the toilet. This would further enhance the modern aesthetic while adding a touch of industrial charm.
To enhance the overall ambiance, we recommended the use of a statement pendant light on the side of the mirror. This striking lighting fixture would not only provide functional illumination but also serve as a visual accent, adding another layer of drama and sophistication to the room.
To visually expand the space, we incorporated LED lights behind the mirror and under the vanity. These strategically placed lights would create an illusion of depth, making the room feel more open and spacious.
Finally, to enliven the space and bring in a touch of nature, we suggested the use of eucalyptus branches. These leaves would add a pop of greenery, infusing the room with a natural and refreshing atmosphere.
